Other Discussion / Re: New Travels and Stats Discussion

Took an overnight last weekend to get some new mileage in California and Oregon. As part of this, I knocked out 150 new miles of I-5, 70 new miles of US 97, (finally) finished both CA 36 and CA 89, and grabbed some other routes. Highlights that aren't clinching roads included a tour of Shasta Dam, my first visit to Siskiyou County that wasn't clipping it on CA 139, and visiting the McKee Covered Bridge southwest of Medford. Lowlight was someone smoking in the hotel and setting off the fire alarm.

As an aside, I found a couple of Historic US 99 segments in CA that we aren't currently mapping. I'll add those over the next week or so.

New clinches: CA 36, CA 89, CA 151, CA 265, CA 273, OR 66, OR 238, I-5 BLs in Mt. Shasta and Weed, US 97 Business in Klamath Falls.

Significant new mileage: I-5 (Redding to Grants Pass), US 97 (I-5 to OR 39), OR 99 (OR 66 to OR 238 and OR 234 to I-5 in Grants Pass).

Is this kinda review of all French systems?
Not really; just a few things I'm noticing while looking for freeways.

Is FRA-ARA D14-74 mapped along the old route labeled in OSM as D14, or the new route labeled D14A (but apparently signed as D14)?

Via the bypass according to GSV. Fixed: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/8279
@niels mapped the through road and will be credited for the bypass now :(

This is a thing I miss from old version of Google maps.  There was a clear darker orange color for freeways that generally aligned with what you would think a freeway is.

In my mind, if it's not the blue or green freeway color from my trusty Rand McNally Road Atlas, that it doesn't count.  ;-)

There was a little thrill of being a "conquistador" when the map hadn't updated to reflect its limited access status.

Now you just realize...oh, probably a couple of hundred thousand drivers figured it out first.

Since Si already did a mockup file for Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, should that be the base file we just add other regions to?

If so, Oregon:

I-105 [covered by OR 126]
I-205 I-5 OR/WA
I-405 I-5(299B) I-5(302B) [edge case could include the Kerby Ave ramp, but set that aside for now]
US26 53 I-405(1C)
US30 NicSt I-84(44) [rest covered by I-84]
US97 CR803 272
US97 143 134
US395 [overlaps on I-82 and 84]
OR18 OR22_W OR22_E
OR22 EdgSt OR99EBus

Some photos have appeared on AA roads showing I-57 signs between exits 21 and 29.
