Google Maps as Default?

It seems the Highway Browser has lost my preference to use Google Maps by default.  How do I set it?

At this point, there is no way.  I changed the default to OSM tiles for my academic project and TM shares that code. 

We have a GitHub issue open and the intent is to remember map tile preferences in a browser cookie at some point in the future.

That's good news. The Mapnik can get really busy when you zoom in. I like the HERE map out of the options available.
