WI: WI162 Chaseburg Rerouting
« on: October 25, 2017, 01:31:09 am »
Highway 162 in Chaseburg, Wisconsin needs to be rerouted. I traveled along this segment of highway 162 last month, and noticed that signs through Chaseburg appeared to be sending me down roads not marked as WI162 on Mapnik or TM. As of September 2017, heading west along WI162 you are prompted to turn left onto southbound Swain St, making a right turn along Swain until Main St, where signs direct you north along Main St to Depot St. A few Google Maps images will also be provided below.

Westbound at Swain St
Westbound at Main St (You can see the concurrency signs of WI162 and CRK to the right(north))
Eastbound at Swain St
Eastbound at Depot St (right turn sign is hard to see but it's straight ahead)
-The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step... on the gas.

So it does. The obvious route turns out to have a steep hill in it. I can make that change. It will change the location of CRK_S, but not by too much.
