Each state has its own mojo, and with Texas, compared to other states, I usually give more weight to what's in the route descriptions in the designation files, as opposed to any signage in the field that may disagree.
The
designation file, two flavors of shapefiles, County Grid & Statewide Planning Map all agree at an end at I-45.
I'm doubtful that it's one of those occasional route changes from the minute orders that slips through the cracks and doesn't show up in the designation files. There's no sensible place for the route to end, and here it is some 6 years later, with no corroboration in the usual official sources.
Contractor error, I wonder?
