Icons for waypoints

As we (likely) move TM very soon from the Google Maps API to Leaflet for our mapping engine, there will be some cosmetic changes.  I'm open to suggestions on what people would like to see used for the waypoint icons on pages like the Highway Browser. It will probably end up being configurable so we can offer multiple options.

I always liked the idea of having *closed waypoints in a different color. Say, brown.

Concur with closed waypoints being a different color.

Also don't think we should make waypoints very large.  Just large enough to be visible, but not garish.

I'm not sure how hard it would be, but I think waypoint icon sizes that change with zoom level might be nice.
