TN: TN 48 Business and TN 48A in Dickson

TN 48 Business in the HB is signed as mainline TN 48 and what TM has as TN 48 through central Dickson is TN 48A.

There are multiple TN 48 ALTERNATE postings (summer 2019 GMSV) and mainline 48 is posted on TM's TN 48 business.  TN 48A appears on county maps back to at least the late 1970s.

This is an odd setup to have by TDOT, as TN 48 has a section south of US 70 Business that can only be driven SB, so they should have TN 48 on one-way splits or similar.

Hmm. When did you see the changes? Are the signs on Business 70 gone now?

The alternate signs have been around for a while (here's one from April 2016, back before I had drafted any of these).

It appears the northern split signage is the same in the  2019 GMSV (obscured by tree).

The 2013 view at that intersection also had a 48 north posting on Main St (gone in 2019 view).

I've never been to Dickson TN so this is all off GMSV and TN maps which have shown this 40+ years.
