I drove this road the other day and didn't even realize it went back and forth across the state line before I looked at the map afterwards. The road weaves across the state line a few times and as such is currently entered into TM as
ga.ga246,
nc.nc106cha,
ga.ga246rab,
nc.nc106nan,
ga.ga246sky, and finally
nc.nc106.
Most of the state line crossings are marked by
these little signs. After driving this a few days ago, it is clear that Georgia maintains everything west of the easternmost crossing (which is where all the full state welcome signs etc. are located), and mileage on GA 246 increases through the NC segments. That suggests to me that the western NC 106 segments should probably be renamed to some versions of nc.ga246.
