AR: US 70 (or US 70B) and AR 5 changes in Little Rock?
There's a post on the AARoads forum (which might be moving to a different regional board so I'm not posting a link here...it's erroneously in the Central States board right now) that suggests, based on recent ArDOT maps, that US 70 (or US 70B) has been shifted off University Ave to continue along Colonel Glenn Blvd to I-430 Exit 1.

I say US 70 or US 70B because we currently have it in the HB as US 70 Bus but the OP thinks it's mainline US 70 given the ArDOT map.  Signage, as per usual for Arkansas, shows BOTH the business route and along I-30 as mainline US 70.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Regarding AR 5, the map suggests that AR 5 has been truncated to I-430 since it's alignment east of I-430 was taken over by this US 70(B) reroute.

No word yet on how this is signed in the field (if at all).

I posted a separate topic about that US 70/AR 5.  Also didn't include a link because it may be switching to a different regional board (the OP erroneously put it under Central States).

I do not think that moving the topic will affect the link.

FWIW, shapefiles seem to indicate mainline US70, as there's no B suffix on the section number.
How much is this worth though?...

Are you sure that's mainline US 70 and not US 70B?  Mainline US 70 is signed along I-30 all through Little Rock and the University exit off I-30 is signed as US 70B.

Tho given the absolutely abysmal state of US signage in Arkansas to begin with, who knows what's going on...
This. :(

I haven't seen at AASHTO application for this yet, be it either mainline or business US70.
I'll keep an eye on both this thread & AARoads.

Some background info is in this earlier thread.
The signs neroute2 linked are the same in more recent GMSV.
The changes in the OP have not gone thru yet per mapcat's report of his recent trip. I'm thinking keep status quo until changes are confirmed, and see how everything shakes out once that time comes.

70B shields are removed from the Exit 132 BGSs. No more 70B shields spotted in current imagery.
US70 shields are removed from BGSs approaching Exit 138B. I don't see anything else clearly indicating a multiplex along I-30 anymore. Only thing I see not 100% consistent with making the change is that EAST hasn't been removed from these BGSs. Shrug.
I think I've  seen enough to go ahead & do the relocation.

I-30(132)
All but 1 person using this point has I-30(111) as the other point.

Each of these travelers also have a matching AR I-30 line .listed, so their maps & stats won't be impacted.
The remaining traveler is johninkingwood, with a W endpoint @ US70BusHot_E. I-30(132) can safely become an AltLabel of I-30(129), preserving his travels.

I-30(138), I-30(139B), I-30(141A)
These points are only used in segments fully concurrent with I-30, along with matching AR I-30 lines.
They can be safely deleted.

^ FWIW, I haven't traveled the new US 70 routing between I-430(1) and I-30(141B). So this undoes my overall clinch, from Arizona to North Carolina, of US 70.

For now, at least. But quite by coincidence, I already had plans to spend the night in Little Rock next week. So I can do a re-clinch while I'm out there.

^ O HAY, didn't I write a shell script to detect cases like this?
FWIW flipped route support is still not implemented, but this shouldn't be a problem for US70.
