B2/B23/E533 Oberau bypass
« on: May 28, 2022, 01:17:52 pm »
The B2/E533 bypass was opened yesterday. I need to check the latest mauttabelle and BAYSIS how the old route is dedicated now. Right now, BAYSIS shows both(!) branches as B23 which is odd. 16 TM users and the preview dtalpstr tourist route are also affected.

mauttabelle.de was updated. The southern through road is (still) B23 but the northern through road is not dedicated and thus no longer in HB: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/5829

Thanks for the heads up here.  So as someone who had travels on A2/E533 looking into how I should update my .list, I'll put what I'm doing here to see if it makes sense and in case it helps others.

I should remove that segment from A2 and E33 by using lines like

Code: [Select]
DEU-BY E533 1(A95) MunStr
DEU-BY E533 B23_E DEU/AUT

but I can also keep credit for the part of B23 that goes into Oberau with a line

Code: [Select]
DEU-BY B23 B2_N B2_S
and the segment north of there to where the bypass will just no longer be TM clinchable.

It's B2 instead of A2 ;)

The gap for B2 and E533 is between Münchner Straße and B23_E (because B23_N was a point in use). Your list file entry (if traveled whole B2 could be read:

Code: [Select]
DEU-BY B2Wei A952 MunStr_Obe
DEU-BY B2Wei B23_E DEU/AUT

Replace A952 by A95 if you only traveled A95 from Munich to Eschenlohe (very likely).

E533 is concurrent to A95 (northern segment) or B2 (southern segment).

However, Jim's Oberau through road entry is wrong, it should be read:

Code: [Select]
DEU-BY B23 MunStr B2_W
However, "B2_N" is a alt label for "MunStr" and B23 to the south is concurrent to B2 till "B2_S" wp at Burgrain. That's why Jim's entry works for him.

Side note: A train accident with (minimum) five fatalities happened at the B2/B23 Burgrain interchange this Friday. B2/B23 is still closed because the rescue operations happen from the road. The southbound carriageway will minimum be closed till Wednesday but rescue operations are very difficult and severe weather is predicted today. The railway will be closed "for weeks".

I still want to travel the new B2 Oberau bypass next Saturday but right now there is a lot of traffic chaos around because of the closure and a 2-weeks school vacation leading to a lot of traffic to the Alps.
