Thanks a lot! I think we can wait with the implementation till we get any news from the meeting.

Also, from an informal document (submitted over a month ago, which was still too late, apparently, to be discussed) for the meeting of the Special Committee on Road Transport taking place this week. 'Turkiye' proposes rerouting both E87 and E90 onto the bridge. E84 remains going to Kesan. The other major change proposed is the E80 via the O7. I'd suggest that the maps and listings in this document are what we take Turkish E roads to be officially. Though whether that means de facto too, I would suggest not.

The report is out now:

Quote
At  the  Chair’s  request,  Türkiye  tabled ECE/TRANS/SC.1/2023/1 for endorsement by SC.1. SC.1 adopted the proposal which is replicated in annex I.

Amendment proposal to Annex I to the European Agreement on Main International Traffic Arteries (AGR)
The Government of Turkiye has proposed to amend Annex I to the AGR Agreement as follows:

E 90: Lisboa - Montijo - Setúbal - Evora - Caia - Badajoz - Madrid - Zaragoza - Lérida - Barcelona ... Mazara del Vallo - Alcamo - Palermo - Buonfornello Messina ... Reggio di Calabria - Catanzaro - Crotone - Sibari - Metaponto - Taranto - Brindisi ... Igoumenitsa - Ioannina - Kozani - Thessaloniki - Alexandropouli - İpsala Border Gate – Keşan – Gelibolu – Lapseki – Bursa – Eskişehir – Sivrihisar – Ankara – Niğde – Adana -Toprakkale – Gaziantep – Şanlıurfa – Nusaybin – Cizre - Habur Border Gate - Iraq
E 87: Odessa - Izmail - Reni - Galati - Tulcea - Constanta - Varna - Burgas - Marinka - Zvezdec - Malko Tarnovo - Dereköy (Border Gate) – Kırklareli – Babaeski -Havsa – Keşan
– Gelibolu - 1915 Çanakkale Bridge – Çanakkale – Ayvalık – İzmir – Selçuk – Aydın – Denizli – Acıpayam – Korkuteli -Antalya
SC.1 adopted this amendment proposal as per Article 8 of the AGR Agreement.

The working document does also have a map. E87 and E90 are routed via the new bridge now.

Edit: Well, E90 is indicated via the bridge on the maps but the text is only mentioning the towns north of the bridge.  :pan: What's right now?
E90 had another rerouting onto O31 south of Ankara. I guess that why they mention an E90 change.

I see a change for E90 now :) The "..." referring to a ferry crossing is replaced by a "-" referring to a road.
Nonetheless, why is the bridge only mentioned for E87? See attached.

I checked the 2022 posts again today:

Actions:
E84 spur
 - add "Kavakkoy" spur along O6 between exits 10 and 11 as signed away from mainline as E84 (and thus not 'to' signs)

Agree albeit it's not indicated on the maps in the official documents. It's the grey bit on the "final view" map attached.

E87 option 2
 - treat as an unsigned concurrency with E90 as they seemingly cannot sign both routes and went with E90

Yep, I saw that concurrent E routes are NOT signed in Turkey. Thus, I'd go with that option.

Fully agree. E87 is clearly indicated via the bridge in the official documents.

E90 spur option 1E90
 - reroute over bridge

Agree since it is signed and very likely (e.g. ferry service discontinued and "..." removed from document) that it must take this route.

E90 spur option 1
 - add "Cannakale" spur as its signed, including away from main E90

I prefer this option.

I assume that this was a temporary solution. Official data has E87 on it now, i.e. the route has an E road anyway. Not adding an E90 spur.
