VA: US60 in Virginia Beach
« on: March 21, 2023, 02:18:16 pm »
The point on US60 at 64th Street is labeled as "VA343_N", which was a bit of a head-scratcher when I saw it, especially since there wasn't a connection to any other mapped route there. It seems that VA343 ends at the park boundary and doesn't actually reach US60 (and on top of that, that segment is unsigned anyway). This point should probably just be called 64thSt. Even if we say "eh, close enough," shouldn't VA343_N and VA343_S be switched anyway?

Also, this might be a long shot, but I'd like to request a point on US60 at 5th Street. This is really just so that I can properly record that I did cross the bridge and reach the end of US60 even though I missed the portion between 5th and 21st Streets.

i changed the points regarding VA 343.

As for the other change, US 60 is routed in TM differently from official VDOT sources east/south of US 58 Bus, where it uses 17th and Atlantic down to its turnaround at Rudee Inlet.  Because there is a solitary US 60 posting (the END sign) the original compiler of US routings in Virginia put the TM routing that way.
