CA: Short CA 1 relocation north of Bodega Bay
« on: June 03, 2023, 03:37:36 pm »
As previously noted in Six-Month+ Outlook, Caltrans has built a short relocation of CA 1 in the Gleason Beach area north of Bodega Bay. The relocation opened to traffic March 8, while other project work (such as removal of part of the old highway obstructing fish migrations) continues.

The project is mainly to move the highway from eroding coastal bluffs before they collapse. But the state kicked in funds for additional improvements, such as a long viaduct over the Scotty Creek floodplain.
