AR: AR164 Scottsville decommissioned
« on: November 01, 2024, 06:22:07 pm »
This showed up in a recent minute order from ARDOT, but I drove by this area earlier today and can verify that AR 164 at Scottsville no longer exists.

The image I took earlier today:

2014 GSV imagery:

I have more images to verify this if I need to.

Thanks for the heads-up.
I'm tracking minute orders in this thread, with a list of deletions, truncations, additions, relocations, redesignations, etc. to watch out for.
If you can verify any more of them, let us know.

No need for more images; I'm satisfied with what we have here.
A couple notes though to make life easier in the future:
Editing the img tags can help fit a whole image onscreen & take up less space. Easier on the eyes.
Prefer a GMSV link to simply posting a screenshot. More useful.

Sure thing! I drove by much of the area where the minute orders mentioned, the decommissioning of AR 164 Scottsville was the only change I actually saw yesterday. AR 154 and 113 are likely to be truncated before too long, there's some sort of bypass being built around Oppelo that's supposed to be completed by the end of next year... I'll post the information on it if I can find it, I unfortunately didn't get a picture of the job # sign when I was there yesterday.

Job 080711 per the minute order, which also says
Quote
WHEREAS, Conway, Faulkner, Johnson, Pope, Saline, and White Counties, and
the City of Morrilton have agreed to assume ownership of various state highways
to offset the costs associated with the Project.
I'd almost ask whether it's safe to assume these (154 thru 113 on the list) would go thru around the same time the project wraps up.
But OTOH, AR132 has already been removed.
