This will take some work next month, though the queue for that (including non-TM items) is getting crowded.

It doesn't help that GMSV in that region is 2012, and might not reach the endpoint. Also, the official route definition hasn't changed lately, even though the web page with the definitions was updated earlier this year (not sure how).

Is this thread fully completed?  Just trying to mark some old threads (2+ years old since last post) as 'solved' so they can be moved to the other section.

I think this can be marked as solved.

I think this can be marked as solved.

So, you're not going to extend it any farther north to the place Yakra suggested in the original post?  Just wanna make sure (and you have the permissions to mark it as 'solved' too).

EDIT: While looking at the 2012 GSV, the farthest north BC-27 shield I could find, was in Fort St. JamesWikipedia currently lists the route as ending in Fort St. James itself.

Wikipedia mileage: 53 km (33 mi)
Our mileage: ~37.98 mi

So, do we actually have it going too far north instead??

^ I'm going to leave this open for now. But the info cited above (including the 2017 shapefile data) is really stale, and could stand some updating, including a check of more recent official data. Especially since there are so few travelers on this route, I think this is a low priority.

Oscar, might want to look into this again, as GSV was finally back in the area around Sep '24.

& BOOM, a brand new Hwy 27 streetblade north of town that wasn't there in 2012 GSV.

However, still no shields north of the one I mentioned in Post #5.

The street blade you spotted is well within the Fort St. James municipal boundary, and also well southwest of the BC 27 north end we already have in the HB.

The official route definition remains unchanged from when we last discussed this.

Then I guess we can mark this as 'solved' then?
