zafn: South Africa National Highways
« on: February 12, 2018, 10:17:34 pm »
Commencing peer review.

One general comment: I think this system should be tier 2 (as usaus is). This leaves room for the Provincial and Regional Routes (R-prefix) to be tier 4 and metropolitan routes (M-prefix) to be tier 5.

N1:
- add waypoints for intersections with R101 Rawsonville segment
- VanReiSt → VanRieSt
- R717 → EmiHob (I don't see any signage for R717 here, the intersection to the west where OSM shows it is signed as S140 per GMSV)
- 258(N) → R33 (no signed exit number here)
- 382(N) → 352(N)
- D1489, D10, D368, D449 → consider renaming, these designations do not appear to be signed in any way

N2:
- The westernmost segment between M62 and the N1/N2 junction appears to be signed as both N1 and N2. Suggest making this a concurrency between the two.
- "1(W)" → "N1" (there is no exit number, "N1" is on the gore sign where the number otherwise would be)
- "1A(W)" → "1B(W)" and vice versa.
- remove "6A(W)". This is not signed as a separate exit, and one point per interchange
- add point "M161" at Broadlands Road in Lwandle
- "DuKaaWeg" → "OuKaaWeg"
- add point "R321" at intersection with Oudeburg Rd. Change existing point "R321" to "ToR321"
- add point at Myddleton interchange (does not appear to have a number)
- "P1532" → "Bog" (these designations beginning with P are not signed)
- "R102_E" → R102_ some three letter combo like the other R102 intersections?
- add a couple more points in King William's town where route makes turns
- Recenter point "R349"
- "R63" exists as well as "R63_W" and "R63_E". Should these be R63_C, A, and B (respectively)?
- "X553498" → "R408"
- Recenter point "R411"
- "FurNdaAve" → "TutNdaAve"
- "P750" → "Sin" (again, designations beginning with P not signed)
- "P61" → "Weza"
- "P56" → "ElimMis"
- "P55" → "Pad"
- "P345" → "OriGorRd"
- "P262" → "Mur"
(side note: D201 actually IS signed as such... how about that https://www.google.com/maps/@-30.7264133,30.390732,3a,44.3y,209.29h,82.61t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1scpQGFkunyr9I_1MZo9IraQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656)
- "R102" →"R102_Emp"
- "D1913_S" → "Duk" (this D road is not signed)
- "D1913_N" → "Shi"

N3:
- S790_S → Swi (S790 is not signed here)
- S790_N → S790 (S790 is signed going north from here, but not south)
- Relocate "S791" to connector road to the north and rename to "S792". Existing point is located at an underpass, not an intersection.

N4:
- There are two sets of exit numbers. Add (W) and (E) like with other roads?
- X233063 → ToR101
- X979438 → 18(E)
- R515 → 27(E)
- Wit → 37(E)
- R568 → 45(E)
- R25 → 50(E)
- X590159 → 62(E)
- R545 → 75(E)
- X506394 → 86(E)
- X578987 → 92(E)
- SchDr → 95(E)
- R555 → 99(E)
- R544 → 101(E)
- R36 → R36_S
- R36_N → 219(E)
- Alternate N4 route via Schoemanskloof? Add?
- Nel_W → 320(E)

N5:
- R708 → R708_E
- R70/R707 → R70/707
- R26/R76 → R26/76

N6:
- R61 → R61_W
- R344_N → R344_S and vice versa
- S886 → S864/1270 (according to signage)
- S583 → S853
- M30 → M30/R702

N7:
- add point at Klein Dassenberg Rd (interchange under construction)
- add point at Tierfontein Rd (interchange under construction)
- recenter Kor
- relocate shaping points north of R44 to better follow curve
- consider adding point at intersection south of Een, this road is a logical shortcut to R44.

N12:
R62/R328 → R62/328
R651 → Rit
Recenter N18

N14:

N17:
105 → 406
X151002 → Tri
R35/R38 → R35/38
R35_S - duplicate point name. First one should be R38_S

N18:
T504 → R504
R49/R503 → R49/503

And this concludes the peer review, unless anyone else has any comments.

Thanks Duke - these are mostly in the browser. I think there was one that wasn't Rxx/Ryy -> Rxx/yy (which isn't a problem) that isn't in.
