NY: NY32 a couple of things
« on: September 23, 2017, 03:48:14 pm »
Where NY32 and NY787 run parallel just a block apart, there are waypoints at different cross streets, so if you switched between them at one of those intersections you might not be able to map one route or the other.  Tibbits Ave is on NY787 but not NY32, Spring St is on NY32 but not NY787, where they meet and their NY470 intersections are on both routes, Bridge Ave isn't on either.  I just was thinking that the waypoints should be consistent between the two routes, as I know waypoints need to be somewhat selective in cities so not all routing can get mapped.

The point for NY32 and US4 seems to be a little bit to the south of the actual intersection at waypoint 94 on NY32, where they split just south of Saratoga National Battlefield.  Other points seem to have smidgens of drift, but that particular point seems to be off location a bit more than a smidgen.

Shouldn't NY32 have a point for the Saratoga National Battlefield on the west side?  The interchange on US4 on the east side has a point.

On the one hand, NY US4 PhiRd may have just been included as a shaping point; if it were removed, US4's route trace would be outside lateral tolerance.
OTOH, NY US4 PhiRd is in use in at least one .list file, so it's at least that important.
A shaping point is almost, but not quite, needed at Lohnes Rd. Hey, why not.
