OH: OH-7 & OH-527
« on: April 12, 2019, 05:21:41 am »
Seems OH-7 now officially has a 'gap' that OH-527 fills.  If I had been making this post in the past, I would have said that we have OH-527 shown going too far north as it was unsigned and OH-7 signage was there.  Now it's been flipped, where OH-527 signage is shown instead of OH-7.

So, how do we want to deal with this?  Gap OH-7, leaving just OH-527 to fill the gap, or keep it as-is?

StreetView images:
Chesapeake Bypass interchange: Oct '13 (not showing any mention of OH-527) === May '18 (showing OH-527 signage, and a 'TO' banner for OH-7 now)
OH-7/OH-527 intersection in Chesapeake: Sept '13 (OH-527 only mentioned going South towards WV) === May '18 (OH-527 now shown going NB to the interchange, with OH-7 getting a 'TO' banner)

Signage changed sometime between Sept '17 & May '18 per this StreetView image not showing any mention of OH-527 going NB from the intersection towards the interchange.

Further up there is a 7 north trailblazer to use the ramp...

There is still an OH 7 south reassurance on the road itself

Also this on 7 south approaching 527

OTOH, the gap is official  (ridiculous since bypass construction hasn't even started).  See pg 1 of http://www.dot.state.oh.us/Divisions/Planning/TechServ/TIM/Documents/DESTAPECnty/DESLAW.pdf

Compare to how they indicate overlaps, for example OH 7 and 775 have an overlap on pg 15 (overlaps are only mentioned on the log of the higher number of the overlap).  The 527 entry has no OH 7 overlap

Since signage indicates that the road is both OH 7 S and OH 527 N (May 2018), I'm comfortable leaving it as-is.
