ME: US1BypPre ?
« on: November 06, 2019, 10:43:04 pm »
Not saying its inclusion is necessarily incorrect but... it doesn't look like Maine ever submitted an application to AASHTO for this designation, and none of the news articles that I'm finding or anything on the project website refer to this road by any number at all. It is simply the "Presque Isle Bypass".

What indication was acted on that this road is designated as US 1 Bypass? Do we have any confirmation that it is signed as such?

I drove it last month, on my way into Canada. It is signed in the field as US 1 Bypass, even though neither end reaches US 1, nor is there active construction to create such a connection.

I think I took a photo, which might be in my massive queue of unprocessed photos from that yet-unfinished road trip.
