NV: I-80/NV 233 NMP
« on: December 19, 2019, 08:13:59 pm »
The waypoints on I-80/Alt 93 and NV 233 don't seem to line up.

In addition, is there any reason NV 233 is shown extending past I-80?  Although the official description does have the frontage road, it also calls out "IR80" as the terminus.

SR233 - Montello Rd. - RMID #51 - S-N
IR80, Oasis Intg, Exit #378 from FREL46 south of Ramps 1 & 2
to NV/UT State Line 34.256

233 is explicitly signed only eastbound from both I-80 ramps (westbound and eastbound), and there is no signage to suggest anything extends south of I-80.

Lots of NMPs and off-center points in Nevada (hasn't changed much since CHM days, when Tim developed the usanv route set) The whole state needs a comprehensive sweep for NMP fixes, which will be a major project. Unless NV 233 needs non-NMP updates, its NMP fixes take a back seat to addressing the recently-completed usaca and canqc peer reviews.

This seems to include in NV 233's official route description the short stub between I-80 and the south frontage road, even if signage doesn't quite match the route description. I would leave NV 233 alone, until that part of Nevada gets its more general NMP sweep.
