MEX-BC: Point request and label fix for MEX 2D
« on: March 07, 2020, 07:41:21 am »
For the west end of MEX 2D in Tijuana, could a point be added for Boulevard Garita Otay? That connects the toll road to the Otay Mesa (CA 905) border crossing, and is where I got on the toll road rather than the point to the west where the toll road intersects with a connector to the international airport.

That point could replace the BlvrJosexPon point (why the "x" in Josex?). That point is not in use, and probably could be removed outright.

2D actually ends at BC201 to the east. Anything west of there is locally maintained and not signed as 2D. It could be added to mexsf, but is not much of a freeway. This truncation is part of the mexdn major reworking I am hoping to get pushed through at some point: http://forum.travelmapping.net/index.php?topic=3436.msg17190#msg17190

Thanx - I'd forgotten about your truncation plans.

For Mex2D in Tijuana, that's consistent with toll collection and access control starting well east of Boulevard Garita Otay.
