DEU-RP: B50 opening (E42)
« on: November 21, 2019, 12:53:11 pm »
The 20km long new section has been opened today. I need to figure out how the old and new segments are dedicated. I think I should wait for the next mauttabelle update on December 1.

The mauttabelle does not yet have it :( A new road connecting B53 to the new expressway was already in the mauttabelle from October as B50 but that makes no sense. Pics at eautobahn.de show it being B269 though.

I think I'll only move E42 onto the new alignment first and update the rest with the next mauttabelle update of February 1. RP usually updates its state road map at the beginning of the year. It should finally enlighten all dedications. Should...

I've extended B269 to B53 and relocated E42 onto the new road: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/3387
B50 is still routed via the old route because I don't know how the route will be dedicated. This way, no one will lose mileage.

Added now: https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/4085

Opened last December, old and new B50 are still dedicated as B50 according to mauttabelle 2020-09-01. I don't know what's the issue but the old road must be in "good condition" before it can be downgraded and if a bridge must be renovated... it could take decades.
