Citogenesis?
That's the one. I don't think I'm the genesis of it, but certainly have been caught up in it and helped fuel it.
It is something obvious and sensible after all, for an international route arriving at Gdansk from the west and leaving Kaliningrad in the east to be using the
Berlinika between Danzig and Koningsburg, rather than a ferry, even though that ancient autobahn through East Prussia was probably not very good until they upgraded it. But when they upgraded it, you'd have thought the new signs would be able to have 'E28' on.
The primary sources suggests it doesn't link up - the AGR agreement uses '...' rather than '-' in the description, and there are no signs - but every secondary source says it does because its a much less stupid state of affairs.
Now to relook at the assumptions I made with E75 and E77. It doesn't help that there's a lot of mess with the signage to the south of Gdansk. Other than some questionable signs, what I'm seeing so far is that the E roads just match the national numbers (which possibly also need tweaking).
