Site troubles 1/27-1/28
« on: January 28, 2017, 07:10:56 am »
Friday night's site update failed, seemingly because the mysql server process had some kind of trouble.  I restarted that process, which has brought the forum and TM back online.  I've relaunched the site update, and hopefully this one will complete successfully.

It looks like the new site update completed correctly.  Send along any reports of problems if you see any.

Not definite that it was related, but the problem cropped up after the first attempted site update using a new Mac Book Pro that I'm just setting up to be my new primary computer.  There could be other issues as I work to get the new one configured to do everything I need it to do.

On the up side, the actual site update data processing part took less than half as long as on the old computer, and our site's maps look spectacular on the bigger retina display!

No problems I've seen from tonight's site update run completely from the new machine.

The problem I had a few days ago came up again during tonight's update.  I'm rerunning the data transfer and DB update and so far it's progressing normally.  Fortunately, I noticed it this time before calling it a night.
