NM159: point request for
this spot, which seems to be FSR722 or Powerhouse Rd. One of the few places to turn around before Mogollon.
NM181: I think
both endpoints are incorrect. On the south end, the route starts are I-25BL, and at the north end, it ends
here. At the south end, since NM never cosigns state routes, I'd doubt it runs concurrent with I-25BL, plus there's no signs indicating NM181 along this stretch other than
this one, which is probably more an implied TO sign, like NM likes to do. Signage
here and
here show signs on the north end.
NMDOT's milepost viewer shows mileposts that make sense with with this routing.
NM195: This is a mess. So...first off, the dam that NM195 ran on is closed to traffic, with no trespassing signs to boot, making that part unclinchable. No signs at for NM195 at NM177. And from NM179,
this sign, indicating NM195 goes only NW from here. If you do so SE, it just leads to a parking lot for a day area. Also, NM195 is still very well signed within the decommissioned part in Elephant Butte, even so that the signs for decommissioned NM171 are entirely gone, but NM195 are still up. So what to do? I would love to see a unified NM195, from NM181 to NM179, even though inside Elephant Butte is decommissioned but still signed. If this is not feasible, at least take NM195Ele and just make it from EleButLim to NM179.
