MD: Various Point Concerns After 2/19-2/20/2022 Trip
« on: February 24, 2022, 09:17:19 pm »
US 40:  MorRd should be slightly relocated.

MD 8: BatNeckRd_E should just be BatNeckRd.

MD 14:  MD392 could use a slight relocation.

MD 16: Is LogWoodDr the best place for a visible point in this area?

MD 18:  Should SewMarRd be relabeled to a US50 label?  (and with that maybe go ahead and switch the US50/301 labels to US50(XX), the regular US50 label should be left-alone)

MD 33:  Should there be a graph connection at the east end of MD 329?

MD 151:
1.   7thSt should be TraAve (Tradepoint Ave).
2.   SpaPoiRd should be SpaPoiRd_N.
3.   I am not sure that a visible point at North Point Rd (I think NorPoiRd_N) between US 40 and MD 150 is worth it.

MD 173:  I would probably change EastDr to FortSmaPark…. (I am not sure if the label is right.)

MD 300:  PetCorRd seems to be in a dream world….

MD 307:  I would replace RaiAve with NeaSt and consider adding the corresponding point on MD 392.

MD 314:  I think that the west end should be moved to Cosden St (CosSt).

MD 318:  It may be worth replacing the shaping point east of ElwCampRd with a point at Hubbard Rd/Seippes Rd.

MD 335:
1.    The HLR indicates that AppRd should be HooIslRd or HooIslRd_S.
2.   Is it worth replacing WilDr with a point at the entrance to the Harriet Tubman State Park Visitor Center?

MD 377: The north end at MD 346 could use a slight relocation.

MD 404:  MD404AltHil should be slightly relocated.

MD 611: SPoiRd could arguably use a slight relocation (and I think the prefix is essential).

MD 18:  Should SewMarRd be relabeled to a US50 label?

Ehhhhhhhhh... nah, that is an intersection with a road of that name it's fine. Besides, this point already has an alt label in use! It doesn't need another.

Agree regarding the US50/301_A/B points though, and the western one I'm gonna relocate to be halfway between where it now is and the routing to US 50 WB. Which is still a little janky but 1PPI, so...

Unless someone is specifically requesting it because they turned there, no, no it is not.

MD 307:  I would replace RaiAve with NeaSt and consider adding the corresponding point on MD 392.

Honestly I don't think a point in either location is really necessary being so close to the end and not leading anywhere of prominence (also not in use). The RaiAve point seems to be there because if someone not attempting to clinch roads but just taking the most direct route were coming off MD307 and seeking to continue west on MD392, they may logically have turned there. Gonna just leave this as is...

MD 335:
1.    The HLR indicates that AppRd should be HooIslRd or HooIslRd_S.

That label seems to have come from Applegarth Rd which, um, yeah, is someone's driveway.

Per the manual this is an appropriate situation for the label to be "End" so that is what it shall be.

2.   Is it worth replacing WilDr with a point at the entrance to the Harriet Tubman State Park Visitor Center?

If starting from scratch, maybe, but WilDr is in use so I'm inclined to leave it alone.

Or US50(41) could stay where it is, as the other half is a road named Piney Narrows. ;)
Stupid misbehaving parclos.
Though if the commit's already on GitHub... *shrug*

Things like WilDr vs Harriet Tubman SP always make me wonder if the park or what-have-you what what the travelers intended to mark, and used the closest point. We may never know.

Yeah I hesitated on this since it really could go either way, but what nudged me into moving it was that the point makes a better route trace at the new location. Hey, it's a reason.

It's a deciding factor for me often enough.
