OH: OH 211 Bypass, Dover
« on: September 09, 2021, 08:43:07 pm »
Since Mapcat seems to be in a giving mood. I wish to submit a new route to the Ohio database.
There is a Oh 211 bypass in Dover, along W. 3rd St between OH 39 (Commercial Pkwy) and (regular) Oh 211 (Tuscarawas Ave). This route is evidently a new route, since it isn't shown on Google streetview (most recent photos are 2018 & 19)

Sorry for missing this earlier. It does not appear to be ODOT-maintained. Got any pics?

Interesting. Non-standard, for sure, but I don't know that that necessarily disqualifies it. Are the signs at the other end similar?

Seems the OH 303 truck route in Hudson is about as (non-)official-looking as that, and it made the cut. I'll hold off on adding it right now but would be interested in additional opinions.

Yes. 3 signs, (ends & middle) along 3rd St

More signs for it than for Oh 521 in Delaware....Just saying.

Signs play an important role, certainly. An official route that is signed goes in, one that is not signed does not. But this is just a local route that ODOT has nothing to do with, unlike OH 521.

You mean like all the Oh 37 truck routes?

We do have MD 45 Bypass (Towson) in the HB, and I am pretty sure that is maintained by Baltimore County.

I clinched this route on July 23rd and basically saw what osu-lsu did.  GSV has it entirely covered as of June 2023. (at OH 39, at OH 211)

If the signs were ODOT spec, yes. But they're not.
