VA: US 58 Relocation by SR 711 west of Damascus

Mainly the area around the SR 711 point is affected by the South Fork Holston River.

I am just glad I do not have to ponder on whether to extend NC 295 right now.

what's to ponder?  the road is open... 

some segments in TM are only drivable one direction permanently.

Yeah, I guess we would have added VA 895 in early 2002 when the route was entirely opened eastbound even though the James River Bridge was not open westbound yet.
