CA: CA 20 Business (Williams) unsigned?

The other two business routes mentioned in that discussion aren't in the HB, so no action needed for them.

At minimum, Caltrans has been making an active effort to remove signs. I drove it in April and there was exactly one sign remaining, and it was where the route turns. The east end END assembly was removed between 2021 and 2023. Signs along 20 pointing to BR 20 at its west end were also removed.

I'd put it this way: you could make an argument that it's still signed based on one straggling assembly, but Caltrans has made a clear effort to remove any mention of it along or near its roads, with signs that were relatively new in 2021 GSV gone by 2023, and those signs being removed makes it seem more like an intentional removal than signs disappearing through attrition. I'll let others weigh in here and I have no opinion one way or the other.

Has this sign (within the interchange with I-5) been removed?

Looking back, I have photographic evidence of that sign. Appears to be one more sign along the route as well.

20 BR Williams is something I'd where say "keep in the browser due to lack of clear evidence, but its signed existence hinges on a few signs and we thus need to pay attention unless Caltrans decides to put out a new list." That is, I understand and accept if someone chooses not to clinch it because its existence is not clear, but its removal is not clear enough to definitively say it doesn't exist. Kind of like US 395 BR in Reno, which has enough random signs to qualify as "potentially existing". 20 is the fastest route between me and a lot of the coast, so it's somewhere I expect to be at least every 2-3 years and I can thus check on signs. The other two BRs have been gone for a while.
