Had today off and wound up using most of it to take a bite out of usams. Building off of the research done earlier by mapmikey and rlee, plus taking advantage of more recent GMSV imagery which shows a few additional routes as signed, I have added all of the remaining MS 7xx-9xx routes that are signed, as well as some corrections mentioned in this thread over the past year. I'll address a few specific comments below:
MS43A:
This route has exactly one sign near its northern terminus, but is not officially recognized by MSDOT (and locally maintained), which is most likely why it is not currently in the HB (as well as the fact that there is only the one sign, which is arguably not enough to make it worth for inclusion). It is signed on street blades as "HWY 43A." The waypoint for it on US84 is FroSt, which would indicate that it will not be added. However, the waypoint for it on MS43Arm is MS43A, which would indicate the contrary.
If the decision is made to include MS43A, then:
US84:
FroSt > MS43A
If MS43A is to be excluded, however, then:
US84:
FroSt > Hwy43A
MS43Arm:
MS43A > Hwy43A
I struggled with this one when I was developing the MS 43 list. That 43A shield has existed in Silver Creek for decades (I recall it from when I was stationed in Mississippi 20+ years ago), but I have found zero evidence that it is a state route...not even a locally maintained state route. This is why I excluded it. I'll relabel the MS 43 point to Hwy43A, but I'm leaving the US 84 point as-is because the road is named Front Street in Silver Creek.
713 Robinsonville (Freeway signage at the I-69/MS 304 split at the north end, Begin State Maintenance at the south end). I-69 overlaps from the Tunica County line to MS 304.
So with this one, 713 officially exists from US 61 to the Tunica/Desoto County line where I-69 officially takes over (and has BEGIN/END I-69 signs). I've opted to go with this length.
722 Pope (signed on US 51; end state maintenance on west end)
Where did you find the End State Maintenance sign? GMSV does not show it. And while imagery shows a very distinct pavement change at the rail crossing, MDOT data and maps indicate the west end is further west near Pecan Street.
MS 718 just to the north in Courtland appears to be a similar case. Pavement suggests at the railroad while maps/data indicate further west.
Pending further info, I'm putting both at the railroad.
789 Columbus (I only saw signs at US 45)
GMSV shows signs where it makes the turn off of Artesia Rd, though the western end at MS 791 is unsigned.
806 Isola (both ends)
Are you sure on this one? GMSV doesn't snow anything (including 2022 GMSV on the south end) and MDOT shows it as locally maintained.
Any chance Mississippi state routes make it to preview stage by the last week of January?
I'm going to Memphis, for that last week, and hoping to start clinching routes in those Mississippi suburbs.
With this evenings push, every signed route in northern Mississippi (basically the top 2 tiers of counties) has been added to TM.
