TX: PA 1502 (Wurzbach Parkway)
« Reply #30 on: April 11, 2024, 08:53:23 pm »
PA 1502 is more signed that I had thought at first and worth putting in.  It's one of a few Principal Arterial routes and the only signed one that I found in San Antonio (there won't be anymore signed routes since TxDOT abandoned the idea.)

Brian Purcell (Texas Highway Man) has a good write-up on the route here - https://www.texashighwayman.com/wurzbach.shtml

This could be treated like NASA ROAD 1 (displayed as NASA 1 in HB) in that the PA can be placed into a TX Aux shield despite the PA being below the number see - similar to the primary Texas route.

The route is marked consistently (The Texas way at least) on intersections and on trailblazers along the route.  It is is a mixed access road.

** if this was proposed in the past and declined my apologies **

Didn't see this.. And it seems yakra has what I posted accounted for, just is mulling what to do with it.  I'll consider this one noted.

Is there any way that I can help with the FM/RM systems, such as peer-review? I'm not particularly adept at web design, but I am a quick learner.

I can't speak to those systems, but I can say that you wouldn't need to know about web design, just the site manual and peer review procedures.  Systems need to be in Preview status to be peer reviewed, but you can learn how to review by reading this page.  It has very detailed instructions that I have found useful.  You can also practice using the waypoint editor to check waypoints for existing routes.

The system is not yet ready for a peer-review since it's not in preview status. It's even not in devel status! yakra only created route files. I don't know how mature those routes files are.

yakra did not do much on this system in recent years, and is less active for TM for months now. I think we need to be very, very, very patient.... or think about other options...

I've admittedly done this since the .wpt files are pretty easily accessible on GitHub. I've mostly just looked at these for visual reference more than anything, plus with a route system as large as txfm or txrm, it's still gonna be a very long time before this even graduates to being in-development. It's not a super high priority route system either (even though I've probably clinched around 35 FMs in total), but I'd still love to help peer review it once it gets to that stage :)
