NC: NC 24/27 Bypass Troy
« on: August 02, 2019, 11:26:56 am »
The NC 24/27 bypass of Troy is opening next week.

https://www.ncdot.gov/news/press-releases/Pages/2019/2019-08-02-troy-bypass-opens-next-week.aspx?fbclid=IwAR2aOjvpcyTVvYk5umreuA0dUwoQ_zzVHGXUyuzokuMteyL2hOFGpkIuP5E

This will require rerouting of NC 24 and NC 27 and waypoint changes to NC 109, NC 134.
There is nothing in the Route Changes at NCDOT for this.

Any idea what the old route will be designated?

There are multiple possibilities:

NC 109 (west of troy) and NC 134 (east of troy)
NC 24 Bus
NC 27 Bus
NC 24-27 Bus

I found the signing plans for this bypass.  The old route will be NC 24/27 Business.

Changes made and in the queue

Glad I saw this as our file threw us onto the new bypass by default.
