GA: GA 204 and GA 204 Spur

SR 204 was truncated north of SR 21 (DeRenne Avenue) and SR 204 Spur, from SR 204 to Skidaway Island, was eliminated altogether.

I have been meaning to post this... after all these years the blank line on the Jimmy DeLoach Pkwy BGSs on I-95 finally have a state route shield filling that space. The additions appeared a couple month ago, just as they become due for replacement. Unfortunately this addition of mileage resulted in the elimination of the entirety of GA 204 SPUR and GA 204 from DeRenne northward, with that mileage given back to Chatham County or the City of Savannah

LOL, yup... evidence of the demotion of Whitefield Avenue on Truman Parkway BGS.

And regarding SR 17, there will be a new SR 17 Spur created along the former alignment to I-16.

Jimmy DeLoach should have had its own unique state route number... none of this ALT 21 bullshit then morphing into GA 17. I think GA 17 has already been removed from Bloomingdale Rd. When the Jimmy DeLoach extension is opened to I-16, THAT portion south of US 80 will become GA 17 SPUR. Only in Georgia...

New End SR 204 shield at SR 21

This actually happened at the end of last year...I forget precisely when. These pics were captured in January. They actually took care of these BGSs before the ground-mounted signs on the decommissioned portion of the route...

Overhead GA 204 SPUR sign had just been removed and tossed into back of the truck as I passed by on March 10.

I'm going to leave all of these changes alone until the work is completed. It's on my radar.

One other thing here, GA21_N on GA21AltPor needs to be synced with GA21 and GA30 here.  (This also requires a label edit on GA21 from SonDixInt to GA21Alt.)

SR 17 was extended northeast along Jimmy DeLoach Parkway to SR 21 ALT at the Sonny Dixon Interchange joining both with SR 21/30 in Port Wentworth.
Can confirm that SR 17 is signed west from SR 21 ALT, as I drove it from SR 21/30 to I-95. The rest of Jimmy DeLoach Parkway was signed as SR 17 by May of this year, and on guide signs for I-95 in December 2020.

Just got home last night and have not copied the photos from yesterday off the SD Card yet showing the SR 17 signage at the Sonny Dixon Interchange.

SR 17 Connector in Bloomingdale was still signed as SR 17 in May of this year. It appears they are waiting for the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway extension to open to sign it. The project completion for that is listed as 10/31/21.

AARoads just send me this PM with some pictures about the reroute of GA-17 that should help you finally push the reroute of it ntallyn.

So I went ahead and updated the page I have for Jimmy Deloach Parkway of the photos I took late month of SR 21AL at the Sonny Dixon Interchange, where SR 17 begins. I'll save you some time and share a few below showing the realignment and extension of SR 17. The old alignment south from US 80 to I-16 is going to be SR 17CO. The extension is supposed to be completed by the end of next month. I haven't looked to see an update on it however.
