I drove out to the Sacramento area from my home in northern Virginia, for the road meet there this Saturday. I did a lot of detours on my 12-day outbound journey. The return trip, starting on Sunday, will be much less interesting, with the aim of getting home for Easter with family.

My clinches so far:

I-73 and I-74 extensions in the Rockingham NC area (reclinches usai for me, except a few missing miles in Alaska)
SC 177
AL 158
MS 611
LA 45, and its more modern counterpart LA 3134
LA 3040
LA 657
the long LA 1, including a dive down to the Gulf coast in Grand Isle
LA 3235 (modern bypass of part of LA 1)
all of US 59 in Texas (still working on the rest of the route, while TxDOT works on US 59/future I-69 bypasses to undo my clinch in Texas)
TX Loop 463, and US 59 Business, in Victoria
TX 89
US 181
TX 255
NM 464 (only user to have traveled that lonely route)
NM 92 (just me and mapcat)
AZ 266
AZ 92
AZ 90
AZ 82
AZ 83
AZ 24
CA 190 (Death Valley) (reclinch for changes in the Olancha area, which brings me back to 100% of usaca)
US 395 Business (Olancha)
long Barstow CA segment of US 66 Historic

Ahead of and during this Saturday's road meet, I'll try to clinch Sacramento's light rail transit system, which didn't exist when I lived there in the summer of 1979. I expect to snag some additional northern California historic route mileage.

All of LA 1 in one fell swoop, Oscar?!
You're a brave man, Gunga Din.  8) ;D
(I still remember taking most of one day just to drive from the LSU campus to Grand Isle and back, 20 years ago)

On the rail side, I knocked out the rest of the Sacramento RT Light Rail this afternoon/evening in advance of the Sacramento road meet. The Green Line only runs on weekdays, meaning I needed a weekday trip to finish the system. I think that's my 4th light rail system completed.

I clinched the entire system in a few hours today. The longest route in the system, the Gold Line out to Folsom, took me two hours round trip by itself.

I'd previously covered all of LA 1 north of Shreveport, and had bits and pieces to the south, but was missing most of the route south of Baton Rouge.
