Hmmm, it does show the FL US-301 change in Baldwin as Bypass, not Alternate.  Wonder why the other file said Alternate.

The supporting maps say its a bypass, but the application form itself has "Establishment of a U.S. Alternate Route" checked.

It is also signed as a Bypass.

    • SD US18 / US18Byp - US18Trk at Hot Springs becomes vanilla US18, old route not US18. Do when signs changed
Currently SDDOT is redoing what will no longer be US 18 through Hot Springs (probably made a deal with the city to repave the road before turning it over), so probably once that project is done the signs will change. I'll go through that area a few times over the next year or so and check on the signage.

I'm in Hot Springs right now for the night. The signs haven't yet changed. The US 18 truck bypass (which I just clinched) is still signed as such, and signage has mainline US 18 still going through town as the HB shows.

I want to bump this because I have the files for Hot Springs done. I can send them whenever I get some sort of go-ahead.

    Update on I-587:  https://www.aaroads.com/forum/index.php?topic=19189.msg2681145#msg2681145

The shields should be up at some time next year.

The US 18 Hot Springs updates were included in last night's update.

Sorry that I missed this, but the 2022 PCM log for the Rapid City Region has 18 on the bypass, so this is fine (just letting you know). Haven't been in Hot Springs to check signage (work's been hell), but I would assume they cleaned that up with the University Ave. reconstruction project.

I truly was cutting it close with clinching I-587 when it was still mostly US 264 east of Wilson.
