Staged for commit locally, in order to be ready Saturday.
I expect Confirmed: there will not be a business route.
Going with Van Horne Rd for the old route name. Google says "State Rd", but Van Horne Rd is in the New_Jersey_Road_Centerlines shapefiles, shown on Bing, and the 2019 Topo at HistoricAerials.com.
"Pivot point" labels are VanHorRd_S & VanHorRd_N, which gives me a little indigestion as these are kinda child route endpoints, kinda also multiplex splits, as US206 is also Van Horne Rd S & N of the bypass per shapefiles & USGS. Shrug.

I can potentially do a field check when I head to my cousin's next Wednesday.  She's about 12 miles from the bypass as the crow flies...

That'd be great, thanks!
I'd like to make sure "Van Horne Rd" is correct.

provide much needed relief to the daily crush of commuter traffic on what will be now known as “Business Route” or “Old” Route 206
Surely they don't mean that in the AASHTO, NJDOT, or TravelMapping sense...

This reminds me of "Business State Route 28" in Ohio.  (https://forum.travelmapping.net/index.php?topic=4128.0)

Yup, sounds like about the same thing.
Though possibly with more colloquialism & less blade signs? Time will tell...

Traveled it today, the old road is still posted as US 206 and the bypass is signed as US 206 Bypass.

Aah yes, I saw your post on AARoads but hadn't gotten around to looking at the pics yet. Welcome to the TM forum!
A little unexpected, and good to see. Takes the guesswork out of labeling waypoints, we get to keep more mileage in the system, and the three .list files using CR514 aren't broken.

Can confirm the bypass is signed as BYPASS US 206 at the north end.  Though, curiously, the first reassurance shield heading southbound was a vanilla 206 shield with only a SOUTH banner.

Could not tell what signage was at the south end of the bypass due to rush hour traffic (I hit it about 5:30ish).

A single point at the south end of the bypass for both routes at Mountainview  is fine...OSM correctly shows the new configuration.
