So, how much of this route is currently signed and opened?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Utah_State_Route_131

Wikipedia says that the 'signed' part at UT-85 & UT-68 isn't opened yet, but has been signed since at least June '19 per StreetView. https://goo.gl/maps/FbDpcQHsoVjxonFP9

Couldn't find any signage yet from the UT-140 end in StreetView from about the same time as above, but don't know what could have changed in the last 2 years on the signage front.

Despite being fully signed, none of 131 west of the Jordan River is open. This will likely be the case for the next year or more until they finally build the damn bridge. I don’t understand why it’s signed so well at Redwood, but whatever.

As of May 2020, when I was last in that area, the east side of 131 is open from 140 down to Harmon Day Drive. I did not see any 131 signs yet in that area, but they may be waiting to improve route signage over there until 131 is complete and/or it’s clear what is ultimately going to happen with 140. That one has a very odd west end right now and my bet is that UDOT would like to get rid some/all of what’s left of it.

My take on this based on the info available is I'm going to just hold off on adding the route until the bridge opens. We at least know it's signed once that happens!

EDIT: moved to 6-Month+ Outlook to reflect this status. Feel free to return to main updates board once bridge is completed.

UT: UT 131 bridge open

The Utah 131 Porter Rockwell Blvd bridge opened last week on August 26, per several news articles.

Since there have been multiple 131 shields at the light at Redwood for years now, this means that 131 is now a signed route, and can go into TM with a southern terminus at Utah 68/85 and a north end at Utah 140.

Damn, I missed it by a day. I was through there on the 25th.

That’s the fun thing about Utah - the moving target state highway system gives you reasons to come back!
