FL 46 gap
« on: January 25, 2022, 10:13:12 pm »
I drove FL FL46 today. OSM is wrong; permanent-looking signage points to the north side of future SR 429 at Wekiva River Road/Sand Road. West of there, SR 46 is signed along the north frontage road (adjacent to the multi-use trail). The west end is correct, but points FL429(44) and OldFL429 don't exist, and there should probably be new points at SandRd and WekRivRd.

Today I drove CR 46A from 46 north to 44. Old 46 west is signed as to 46 west.

To clarify, this reassurance is gone, and signage in both directions on 46A is more permanent TO WEST 46 (with TO EAST 46 straight on eastbound 46A).

I just drove the whole gap and reassurance signs at CR 435 and SR 453 have gotten a TO plate on top and there are new begin/end state maintenance signs. Reassurance at CR 437 has not yet been updated.

OSM now shows it correctly. We still have it wrong.

Now that I'm on the computer, I can report on what needs to be changed: FL FL46MtD should be deleted past FL453.

So, FL-46 now is completely off the 'future' FL-429 alignment and on it's own newly built alignment like how OSM shows?  Weirdly enough, GIS still shows the 'CR-46A' part as still FL-46, and the ramp to Exit 44 as FL-46A.

As for 'FL46MtD', it's now only between US-441 & FL-453, correct?  GIS from 04/30/22 does confirm this.

Yes to both. SR 46's west end is correct, but FL429(44) and *OldFL429 need to be deleted. I do expect this piece to be given to the counties when 429 is completed.

Drove the newly opened section 6 of the Wekiva Parkway on May 19. Signs for Exit 44 on eastbound have not been changed yet and still display SR 46. The westbound signage has SR 46/CR 46A. No indication of SR 46 East/CR 46A West however.

SR 429 currently ends east at Exit 50, which is signed simply for SR 46 and no control point. Ramps connect with adjacent SR 46 just west of the roundabout with Longwood Markham Road.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll try to get this segment all cleaned up and uploaded in the next few days.

Now submitted.

https://github.com/TravelMapping/HighwayData/pull/5812

Added a few more shaping points than I like to to FL-46/429 in the area, but sadly needed due to them being literately being right beside each other there.

Oh, and Jim, before you can harass me about the 2 new NMP's in FL, already marked them as FP's. lol.

Honestly surprised the site didn't tag more of them along that area.
