There's no need for more evidence. Either we follow the signs, or we fudge it to make a continuous route. Either is fine.
Either is fine. Sure. But which is best? Keeping as-is?
You know that I don't like the E routes thing. I don't know which E routes runs just 3 km north from my apartment. And which one runs 10km to the east? OSM nor GM indicate it. I don't.....
Nevertheless, I checked
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_route_E46 which only indicates Cherbourg-Octeville - Caen - Rouen -
Beauvais - Compiegne - Soissons - Reims - Charleville-Mézières - Liège. Hmm, N31 is the direct route Soissons - Reims.... Keep as-is? A 2007 map is linked which also shows a direct line.
I asked google but failed to find useful info. Is there any up-to-date map indicating anything different to the 2007 thing? And where is the official list (last revision), we could also need it for
Turkey. Should we fudge E84 and E90 too?
Edit: wikipedia links a
2016 document. It only indicates "E 46 Cherbourg - Caen - Rouen - Reims - Charleville-Mézières - Liège" now. "Beauvais - Compiegne - Soissons" was omitted if the wikipedia article was right. Has it changed? Is there any change log? Is 2016 the latest revision?
Edit2: E43 and E52 run close to me according to the 2016 document
I'm sure that I won't remember it tomorrow
