TUR: O7 (Sirapinar)
« on: October 21, 2023, 10:54:50 am »
The segment east of O7 has green signs but no numbering, see December 2019 GSV, also at east end. No km posts, no number on GM, O7 on OSM. There is one interchange on the route, it's long enough and connects O7 to D020. Maybe a tursf candidate?

decided to keep both parts as O7 branches, O7Cek (Çekmeköy) and O7Sir (Sirapinar).

A temporary "O7Sir" is fine to me but I still think that it should be a tursf route as it is an unsigned motorway. Keeping open, not marking solved!

March 2023 GSV is covering large parts of O7Sir. Nothing has changed at east end nor on west end, i.e. on O7 main route. There is only this sign at east end indicating O7 to Ankara which is definitely meant as "To O7" since O7 is only indicated behind "Ankara" and not below all destination like "D20" on the sign to the left.
The only change I've spot is a new km post indicating O7 :pan: There was no km post at all back in 2019.

@panda80 Should we keep it as-is for the time being or move to eursf system?

I think the km post is enough to keep as it is? But I am also fine to move it to eursf.

Thanks. I've seen access roads to access roads which have km post with the main route numbering. I've seen many GSV images in the last weeks where exit ramps have km posts, just like in western Europe, e.g. Germany. However, the Turkish access roads are longer than German exit ramps. Some even with an interchange along the access road. There are similar roads e.g. in France but with own number.
I strongly tend to remove it from turo system since we have a grab bag system with tursf now. So will I do....
