5/29 - 5/30 TM and Forum outage
« on: May 30, 2024, 01:37:32 pm »
The minor OS upgrade of May 29 ended up being the major outage of May 29-30.  The upgrade unexpectedly removed the (now unsupported) MySQL version we were using.  We're now on a MariaDB installation that seems to be working.  The forum took a little longer than the main site to get going again, and I haven't yet gotten to the rail side of things.  There are still a number of items I need to look into and clean up on the highways side and want to make sure the forum is good before I turn attention there.

The forum content was restored from a 3 AM EDT May 29 backup, so any posts or other changes between then and the start of the outage that afternoon are now gone.  I could possibly track some down but I don't think it's worth the trouble.

Thanks for your patience on this, and let me know in this thread, by a forum message, or by an email if you see anything that doesn't look right.
