NY: I-87 exit issues
« on: December 23, 2024, 11:51:26 pm »
NEW -> TanTraArea - Looks like you can 'legally' U-Turn here, at least if you're a trucker.  This is just north of Exit 15A(NYST).

15A(NYST) -> Now, this one is a bit tricky IMO.  The current location of the point & label is fine as-is, as that's a full interchange with NY-17/59.  However, I want to bring up the random 'extra' ramp from EB NY-17 to I-87 SB, which I'd consider as completely separate from the main 15A interchange.  It's ~0.4 from the main 15A ramps (more, if you count the center point for the SB ramps separately).  I'm not sure what we'd label this as ( 15A(NYST)_N ? )  Wouldn't be a labeling issue at least in NY-17, as it could take the base 'I-87' label.

Following shaping points 100% need a recenter, as they are all well off to the west/east of the mainline to the point that they aren't even remotely touching any of the Interstate:
+X09
+X11
+X16
+X17
+X20
+X21
+X25
+X26
+X27
+X30
+X31

Tolerance issues between following points:
7 <-> 8
12 <-> 13
24 <-> 25 (probably would need 2 new points here)
29 <-> +X25 (probably would need 2 new points here)
