Seems that sign has been there since at least May '18.

There was 'also' an END sign put up around the same time.  However, it got mowed down by Dec '21, and wasn't put back up, as it seems to still be there on the ground in March '24 GSV, with the I-26 shield now joining it.

I assume the north end is at TN36/346, since it was the designation for the new freeway (and 36 continues to the state line on US 23).

Nope, 137 gets to the state line.  Here's the 3 MM right before the border.

Since it's concurrent with US 23, it seemed logical to extend it to the border along with that route.

But 1PPI puts the end of the freeway south of the border. Otherwise our TN36 file would extend to the border.

The segment between the 36/346 intersection and the state line functions as a set of ramps.

If we're mapping it that way, 137 should end where the ramps begin. If we're taking 137 to the state line, it's not ramps and should be separate from 36 between 346 and the state line.

137 is concurrent with 23. 36 is not, so 137 is already separate from 36. If the ramps were outside the freeway lanes, as they are south of the interchange, this wouldn't seem unusual.

The ramps are US 23.

And since they're ramps they're not separately mapped. The intersection of 36 and 137 according to our 1PP1 rule s well south of the state line, so north of there is 36.

But US-23 isn't ramps officially.

And 36 is north of 346?
