IRL: M50 on-ramp at Dublin Port
« on: Yesterday at 12:59:58 pm »
Could not find this in a search. It seems like there is a gap at the on-ramp to M50 north from R131 at the Dublin Port. See screenshot below.

R131 ends at ToM50 and M50 ends at 1 and connects to E20, but that's just concurrent with M50 at that point. Neither connect to R131.

In field, there is an M50 sign just past port exit (Bond) (link).

Neither connect to R131.
That is correct - neither route meets the R131. A segment of the entirely unsigned non-motorway N50 (there's three bits, of which this is the shortest) forms the short link between the two junctions in question.

Yes, as the exit 1 sliproad leaves, ie at exit 1, hence why the M50 is mapped as beginning at exit 1.

So then why wouldn't the N50 be loggable?

because it's entirely unsigned.

Oh, got it. I didn't know that was a requirement because I thought I'd logged some unsigned roads in the US but I may be wrong. Thanks.

We do have unsigned interstates in the US (I-296 (MI), I-124 (TN), I-595 (MD), etc.), but otherwise we do not tend to include unsigned routes with few exceptions (such as MD 896).
