MO: MO150's Kansas border wp
« on: January 31, 2025, 01:18:00 pm »
The wp is a bit into Kansas according to OSM.

https://travelmapping.net/hb/showroute.php?r=mo.mo150&lat=38.880275&lon=-94.607649&zoom=16

It seems that we wanted to position the wp at the junction but I think that we strictly go with the border line. If we wanted to move it to the junction, we had to sync it with coords of KS SFTrl's 135thSt_E (concurrent to KS CATrlOla and KS ORTrlOla)

Google says the state line runs down the middle of State Line Road. OSM says the state line runs on the east-side ROW of State Line Road.

I didn't know there was anything connected to this route on the Kansas side.

Google says the state line runs down the middle of State Line Road. OSM says the state line runs on the east-side ROW of State Line Road.

I would trust Google on this more than OSM, the boundaries in the US (especially in the Midwest) are not the most accurate (have been working on updating/fixing the admin boundaries in SD for the last three years almost). It's not like MODOT stops maintaining the road 20 feet before the intersection or whatever the discrepancy is anyway, any sort of project (snow removal, new pavement, etc.) will end at the State Line Road intersection because it's easier to set the construction limits.
