ITA A5 spur at Aosta?
« on: March 31, 2025, 02:33:17 am »
This sign calls what we have mapped as E27 and nothing else "Raccordo A5 - SS27". This is somewhat similar to signage on A4Chi (should this have its north end at A4?). So should this part of E27 be A5Aos?

It's not under motorway regulations at all (unlike at least the southern bit of A4Chi).

I'll investigate further what it's national name is (but I'm pretty sure it isn't A5Aos) and look at the A4Chi, tomorrow.

I got a bit of deja vu when having a quick look. I don't think there's an easy answer, having tried before to work out what it is (my quick look at signs suggests a separate part of T2 is in with a good shout, if it's not sticking with the status quo).

It is under motorway regulations, but they don't sign it with the big chopsticks. I think technically it has an internal number, but I've come down on the side of A5Aos after all.
