Now I'm wondering how the dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement District will affect these roads.
Quote from: vdeane on April 28, 2022, 09:21:24 pmNow I'm wondering how the dissolution of the Reedy Creek Improvement District will affect these roads. Why would it change anything? The roads will still exist and be gay as ever.
The point of the RCID is that Disney maintains all the infrastructure and provides all government services in exchange for getting to be the government. No RCID, no Disney maintaining those roads.
Or would they not just become private roads owned by Big Mouse?
For TM purposes, why does it even matter exactly which entity maintains them? They are freeways that aren't included under a signed state highway number.
I would think a designation change would be standard operating procedure for a change of jurisdiction.
Unrelated to TM, I would expect the signage to eventually be replaced with something complying with the MUTCD as well.
