IL: US 34 additional points

Just a few suggestions for US 34 in the far west and west suburbs of Chicago. I am a chauffeur in the West Suburbs so I know what traffic is like on these roads. I realize you don't want to clutter the maps but these suggestions I do recommend.

From Somonauk IL heading east:
1. Add waypoint at Somonauk Rd in Somonauk. Somonauk Rd is a major county road in DeKalb Co going all the way to Sycamore. (I would also add this as a waypoint to US 30, IL 38 and IL 64 if you haven't done so.)

2. Add waypoint at Latham St in Sandwich. This is the faster way to get to Hinckley. It is East Sandwich Rd in Hinckley at US 30. (Add to US 30 also if not done so.)

3. Add waypoint at Little Rock Rd in Plano. This is the most used route between Plano and Sugar Grove and west side of Aurora via Granart Rd in Kane Co.

4. Add waypoint at Orchard Rd west of Oswego. Orchard Rd is a 4 lane road with direct access to I-88 in Aurora. It also is used often as a bypass of Downtown Oswego to get to IL 71.

5. Add waypoint at corner of Madison St and Washington St in Downtown Oswego. Washington St becomes Plainfield Rd and US 34 does make a physical turn north before the IL 25 waypoint.

6. Add waypoint at Douglas Rd in Oswego. Douglas Rd is a 4 lane road and a very busy county road heading north to US 30.

7. Add waypoint at Montgomery Rd in Aurora. Montgomery Rd is a busy 2 lane road people use to avoid traffic on New York St in Aurora to get to IL 59.

8. Add waypoint at Eola Rd in Aurora. Eola Rd is a 4 lane road with direct access to I-88 in Aurora. It is often used as a N-S alt to IL 59 going south to US 30 as Heggs Rd south of Wolf Crossing Rd.

9. Add waypoint at Aurora Ave in Naperville. Aurora Ave is a 4 lane road between Fox Valley Mall and Downtown Naperville.

10. For Waypoint 78, you have it labeled as Aurora Rd. This is actually called North Aurora Rd. Also Raymond Dr is the quickest access to I-88 via Diehl Rd and the Winfield Rd interchange for the west side of Naperville. You may want to use that in the label.

11. Honestly, I would remove the waypoint (#79) at 5th Ave. While it is a light, it is not a busy street in Naperville.

12. Add waypoint at Fairview Ave in Downers Grove. Fairview is the busiest N-S street on the east side of Downers Grove and is 4 laned north of 34.

13. Add waypoint at Cass Ave in Westmont. Cass Ave is a busy 4 lane county road that has access to I-88 (as Midwest Rd), Downtown Westmont, and I-55.

14. Add waypoint at York Rd in Hinsdale. York Rd is a busy county road that, heading north, eventually becomes IL 83 in Mt Prospect (as Elmhurst Rd) and has access to I-88.

15. Add waypoint at Wolf Rd in Western Springs. Wolf Rd is a major county road that has access to IL 38 and I-290. Better alt to US 12-20-45 between IL 38 and Joliet Rd.

16. Add waypoint at Maple Ave in Brookfield. Maple Ave has direct access to I-290 (as 17th Ave).

17. Add waypoint at Pershing Rd / 39th St in Riverside. Pershing Rd is a 4 lane alt for Ogden Ave to IL 50 Cicero Ave.

I work in Oak Brook and I concur with #13-15.  A lot of vehicles enter and exit US34 at these intersections even though they aren't numbered highways.

I must not have responded to this when I added some of the points. As currently constructed, the max distance between points in the segment in question is 1.9 miles.

Already added: #1, #2, #4, #6, #8, #13, #15

Not added: #3, #7, #9, #12, #14, #16, #17. If at some point someone needs those points I can add them in but otherwise I think they're cluttering things up.

Can add: #5
