TX: TX 255/FM 255
« on: October 13, 2024, 04:18:04 pm »
At FM 1472, what we have as TX 255 is signed as such only going eastbound. It is consistently signed as FM 255 heading westbound. This has been the case since the earliest GMSV in 2007. The rest of the road east of FM 1472 is signed as TX 255 (with the exception of a lone BGS on I-35 SB).

Weird. FM255 was supposedly redesignated as an extension of TX255 in 2005.
We can add this to the growing number of changes listed in the designation files that have never shown up on the ground.
Though unlike TXLp286, this one actually had a minute order.

Good news for formulanone: they'll have a 100% clinch of the truncated route!

(with the exception of a lone BGS on I-35 SB).
And the same thing facing the opposite direction. Between `13 & `18, the Toll 255 shield was replaced with FM255 (whoops, guess TXDOT whiffed it on that one) and the "Toll Road" legend was replaced with just "Road". SB there used to a "Monterrey, Mex" legend that was removed, presumably in a sign replacement after it got all stove up. NB never had one. Shrug.
