Batch 2 is on the way:
 - usanyp Case 3 ("neutered" NYC Parkway shields): Something is better than nothing, and since I can't find SVG's that include the artwork, the artwork-free ones will have to be sufficient for the time being (though I too am disappointed that we can't get the "real" shields).
 - usanyp Case 5 (one Pkwy, 2 shields, go green): Since multiple shields is not currently an option (and I am not the person to do that anyway), the green one it is.
 - MD835A: Currently displays poorly, and since it is the only suffixed route in usamd that is signed, it gets its own shield.
 - usanp: I found an SVG shield for Natchez Trace Pkwy. Additionally, I made shields for NPS602, NPS615, and Old Mine Rd that match what is posted in the field.
 - hkgrt: Made the 1-digit shields look better and added a 2-digit template. (I had already started by the time the GitHub issue was closed so I figured why not finish it.)
 - ON RR174: Made something close enough to what is posted in the field.
 - bela, beln, and belr: Recentered text in all templates, since they were badly off center.

Surprisingly, everything works great! I thought for sure I was going to break something with the code for hkgrt...

Time for Batch 3:
 - cypa and cypb: Adding shields and the respective code in shieldgen.
 - belb: Same issue as the other Belgium systems, and same fix as well.
 - andcg: Cleaning up the existing shields and the existing code in shieldgen to better reflect field signage.
 - andcs: Adding shields and the respective code in shieldgen.
 - CO NWPkwy: The same page on Wikimedia Commons that says it may be copyrighted also says, “This image of simple geometry is ineligible for copyright and therefore in the public domain, because it consists entirely of information that is common property and contains no original authorship.” I’m convinced. In it goes. Besides, the inclusion of the route on this site is likely to give them extra drivers and thus extra tolls…
 - hkgrt: Hopefully fixed hkgrt_template_wide.svg, since it had some extraneous characters left in the file that were displaying on the showroute page.
 - isrf, isrh, and isrr: Adding shields and the respective code in shieldgen.
-pakm: Adding shields and the respective code in shieldgen.

Batch 3 is on tmdevel.teresco.org instead of tmstage tonight, since I've got my dbname= testing up on there.

Hopefully they will check out and I can get this on the main site.

All is good for the main site. (andcg shields aren't perfect, but it is close enough for now. I'll submit a fix in the next batch.)

Thanks for pulling that in! Since you're doing batches, can you add one for the Badlands Loop Road (https://travelmapping.net/hb/showroute.php?units=miles&r=sd.badlprd)? DOT has green "BADLANDS LOOP" signs everywhere.

Adding to the to-do list. My main foci right now are GitHub issues and other stuff I had in mind first (that IMO are more of a priority), but I foresee it being added soon.

I have myse and mysjp ready to go with one small issue: the font. Malaysian shields use LLM Narrow, which I was able to download for free from the Malaysian government website.  However, I am not sure how to go about adding a font to GitHub. Any help would be appreciated.

Accidental double post, so why not address another font issue:
korex shields use Panno font, which is not in GitHub, nor is it made available by a government agency like LLM Narrow. Thoughts for procedure?

Batch 4 went right onto the production server since I was also installing the archive database code there.

Puerto Rico has never had shields on the site, because there are four styles in use and because some routes use more than one of them. GMSV is very spotty outside the cities, so it's possible we'll never know the status of some signage. Should we keep things as they are and continue using the site's default shield, pick one of the four in use there as a new default, or create shields on an individual basis for roads where signage is known?
